Let’s talk about good fire!
Learn the how/where/why about the entities who currently use fire on the landscape in the region, such as California State Parks, CALFire, Indigenous groups, and the Central Coast Prescribed Burn Association.
Activities Include:
- Kid zone
- Learn how to safely build, tend and extinguish a campfire
- Watch live burns of piles and redwood understory at Henry Cowell RSP (likely between 11am-1pm)
- Food trucks (Pana and S&B)
- Booths and educational demonstrations
- Learn how to make your home more resilient to wildfire
- Test your fire knowledge and win door prizes!
